For every star, brave men have died
for the right to keep Old Glory
And each red stripe's a crimson tide
that flowed beneath Old Glory.
For freedoms sake she's always been
a symbol made for all free men
And with Gods help there will be no end
to the waving of Old Glory.
Down through the years free men will stand
In tribute to Old Glory
While round the world her helping hand
adds pages to life's story
For on a field of royal blue
her stars remain forever true.
A monument red white and blue
is the flag we call Old Glory
Our children young have yet to learn
the meaning of Old Glory
Yet if they're called they'll take their turn
to stand beside Old Glory.
And though I pray I'll never see
the day they face an enemy.
I know should God grant victory
He will grant it to Old Glory.
